My philosophy for today

So I added to this little quote, but today I am following it because of stupid stuff that went down that shouldn't have and I'm angry about it.

"When life throws you lemons, make lemonade. Lemonade is better than a lemon itself."

I hate when people play favorites, especially when they are a reporter and they are clearly supposed to be unbiased. I'm not talking about simply writing, but favorites in a work environment. Obviously at this point, I don't really care who sees this post, but I'm making the best of this specific situation that I am subtly hinting at. Clearly I can do better things with my life. Maybe I will write again and better my writing and send it off somewhere. This just gives me a more opportunity to find other opportunities waiting for me outside of Bridgewater State.

It's like I am in high school again. There's always drama. How can you even THINK about having a career after college if you like drama? Whatever. It's stupid. I'm just gonna go with the flow and see where life takes me and take any opportunity that comes my way.

Wow.

So I haven't been on my blog since December and had all intentions of doing so, but never had the time. In any case, I decided that I am going to come on here again more often and blog. And right now, I am trying to figure out a news story to cover just because. It's not for The Comment, but I figure maybe if I can find an awesome story to write and have it looked over a bunch and get advice on how to fix it, I can send them off as an example of my work to papers. Just a little rant I'm going on here.

I also figured blogging is something I should use more since a lot of news publications use the internet more often than none now.

Really mad.

So my article for this week, the online edition, does not have my name as the byline. It's probably a mistake, but it still gets me mad. I don't even know the person who it says wrote it. It will probably get fixed by tomorrow, but that is not the point. I've been writing since I was 16 and this kind of thing pisses me off. I mean, make sure you have things posted correctly before you have it running online. Grr...

Well, in any case...this is the link to my article this week. Again, the byline has the wrong name. It says Samuel Rogers when it should say my name. Who knows? By the time you read it, if you do, it may be corrected. I just thought I would share.

Also, this is definitely not the best article I have written. There is a lot that is wrong with it that I could personally tell you....
