I just watched a news clip from Channel 7 News from last week about a soldier who came home from Iraq and surprised his almost four year old daughter and his autistic 6 year old daughter at school. What wascool, though, is that he came home late last Wednesday night and his wife hid him in the room all night and Thursday morning just so he could go to school and surprise his kids. I thought it was the coolest and cutest thing. It also shows how much we should appreciate what all the troops are doing for us overseas.
Here's the link if you want to watch it.

ReplyDeletewatch this! I cried when I first saw it, so sad & beautiful too!
This makes me cry. Things about soldiers make me cry. When I was 9 and my brother was 6 my dad went to Bosnia for a year and he came home for leave after about 5 months or so and my stepmom called my grandfather's house phone, I remember it was a Wednesday cause I had CCD later that night and my mom let me skip, but I answered and she said "I'll be by in about 20 minutes, I have something to drop off for your grandpa." She pulls up and I peek out the window and I see my Dad get out of the car and I have never ever ever run so fast in my life. I even stubbed my toe in the driveway. :) I love soldier reunions. Definitely something so important to me.
